This past week I posted a question to my female friends on Facebook asking if they are more interested in workouts for the arms or butt. Of course this poll was very scientific 🙂 I was surprised at how even the votes were between the two.
I actually thought that the butt would be the clear winner. Recently, the round “bubble” butt has made a comeback. Butt surgery was the fastest growing plastic surgery in 2014 according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Over 13,000 in the U.S. had butt surgery in 2014. If you are not interested in going that route but (pardon the pun) would love a tighter rounder butt the right workout can actually lift and tone your butt naturally.
For the arms ladies: I hear your frustration with the loss of tone and the increase of wiggle and jiggle. As we hit our mid 30’s we start losing muscle tissue which means we get softer and squishier. Our skin can also begin to lose elasticity. The good news is we have a secret weapon available to all of us to keep this from happening. Strength training exercises for the arms are the best anti-aging weapon to fight this. And it only takes a few minutes a day to see tightening and toning in the arms.
I promised to post a new workout on the winning body part. Since there was not a clear winner I put together this workout that hits both the arms and the butt. As an added bonus it improves posture too. All this in a quick 4 minute workout.
Equipment Needed: Exercise Tube (medium strength)

P.S. For those of you that subscribe to my blog I told you that I would post a video of the female kick butt Fiddle Player I saw in Nashville. My trip inspired me to post the Facebook poll and get this workout to you. I bet playing the fiddle is a great workout to tighten the arms. Here she is:
